Summer Camp in Europe for Kids and Teenagers

With a guarantee of five full-day excursions to some of Switzerland's most breath-taking places in every two-week summer camp session, plus a minimum of 18 hours of intensive language lessons, endless adventure activities and sports coaching, our summer camp program really is the ultimate European summer camp experience.

Each summer Julie, Richard and the Camp Suisse team welcome children and teenagers from over 40 different countries to the spectacular Swiss Alps, where our ethos of learning and laughing in a safe and secure environment makes Camp Suisse one of the leading summer camps in Europe.

Camp programs are divided by age, ensuring each age group has the relevant supervision, guidance and age-appropriate activity program.

What activities are included?

Junior Campers

7 – 11 YEARS OLD RED AND BLUE GROUPS

Our younger children will join either our Red or Blue Group. The program aims to introduce campers to the residential summer camp environment in Europe with the three key elements of Camp Suisse in mind: safety, learning and FUN!

With smaller groups, age specific activities and low child to staff ratio, the junior summer camp is a closely supervised journey of discovery for our camp enthusiasts; new friends, new activities, new environments and new experiences.

Our junior camp follows a set program of activities, sports and excursions at Camp Suisse. Each activity session is carefully planned and prepared, ensuring the session can be tailored to meet the personal needs of individual children. In addition to our in-house adventurous activities such as mountain biking, climbing and archery, other highlights of the program include exploring what Switzerland has to offer such as the glacier excursion and husky dog sledding, the Adventure Labyrinth maze, the overnight stay in our Alpine refuge and banana boating on Lake Geneva.

Senior Campers

Our program for older campers allows them to explore their talents and grow as young adults amongst like-minded friends from around the world. Campers will join either our Green Group (approx 12 – 14 years) or Yellow Group (approx 15 – 17 years).

12 – 14 YEARS OLD GREEN GROUP

In the Green Group, our teenagers are allocated to a group with 8-10 other students for the duration of their camp. This allows each person to experience camp life with more discreet supervision than the younger campers and to focus more on developing friendships with like-minded youngsters from around the world.

This stage of the Camp Suisse program is very much a journey of self-discovery, developing new skills and forming friendships that will extend far beyond their time at camp. Highlights of the Green Group program include the high ropes course, the chocolate factory, mountain biking, bushcraft and the all important visit to the glacier.

15 – 17 YEARS OLD YELLOW GROUP

As part of the most senior age group at Camp Suisse we aim to allow Yellow Group teenagers to experience summer camp life with slightly less supervision and to take on more personal responsibility in their day-to-day lives. As children progress through the age groups at Camp Suisse there is greater focus on becoming a role model to the rest of the camp and self-managing time and responsibilities. The Yellow Group are key to the fantastic international atmosphere at Camp Suisse. They provide a crucial link between staff and younger campers.

Whilst much of the programme is fixed to ensure campers have the true Camp Suisse experience, campers do get to choose certain sessions from our fantastic range of adventurous activities and sports. This allows campers to further develop skills in their favourite activities or to explore different or new activities if they wish.

In addition to the ever-popular glacier excursion, the high ropes course and kayaking, the visit to the Montreux Jazz Festival and the overnight expedition are favourite excursions amongst our Yellow Group. The Yellows also benefit from a dinner and dance night at our local restaurant.
